Water, Water, Water

I've been blaming a lot of Matthew's fussiness on teething, when in actuality it could very much be because he is starving. He would latch on this morning, start suckling, and then pull of screaming like a banshee. After a couple attempts at this I gave up and said, "I'll pump, but we have errands to run so you'll attempt a bottle." I barely pumped anything...2oz....I'm usually able to pump an entire 5oz bottle in a pumping session and usually from only one breast. So, just 2oz after he had been asleep for three hours was not a good thing. We ran our errands and when we came home I let him drink the 2oz since I really couldn't freeze it anyway, he downed that like it was going out of style. I then fixed him a formula bottle from one of the free cans we had sitting in the cupboard...yeah, the stuff still smells horrible. Little man downed another 2oz of that. He complained while I grabbed a quick bite to eat and then went to nurse him again before his nap. He nursed for a couple of minutes, but fussed again before falling asleep sucking on his fingers. I've realized with the heat and us being on the go so much I haven't been drinking much water. I am used to drinking 96oz of water a day so I know I need to get back into this because I will not rely on the fake formulas that claim to have the same stuff that breast milk has. That is like calling an apple an orange...it just isn't right and there is no comparison.
