Sleep...Wonderful Sleep

Matthew is awesome when it comes to sleep. You will know when it is after 6pm because he gets fussy. He wants his bath by 6:30pm and wants to be nursed and put to bed in his crib with his sleep giraffe going on the heartbeat sound and his sleep sheep in the other corner going with the ocean sounds...strange baby boy.
So Saturday night we went through our routine, bath, dressed, nursed, kissed goodnight and placed on his tummy into his crib and he sucks on his fingers for a little bit and he falls asleep. I work up Sunday morning at 6:30am to see Raul and Joshua out the door to Home Depot to return something they had rented at Raul's office and sat around for a little bit. Got into the shower around 7:30 and took my time. Got out and still got to sit around, make coffee, and start breakfast. Matthew did not make his wishes to be out of bed known until 8:30am...he had slept twelve and a half hours straight. I couldn't believe it and yes I slept the whole night as well except for the small occasions of hearing him wake and suck on his fingers and go back to sleep. I did not get out of bed to check on him, I knew he was fine and sleeping peacefully, even though it was a new thing for me since big brother Joshua never slept through the night until he was over a year. Monday night, Matthew did wake up once around 4am for a quick feed and back asleep till 7:30am. Last night he went to bed at 7:30pm and didn't wake up till 8:30am. Yep, my three month old slept for thirteen hours straight. I hope he keeps it up and we don't have to many wakes for feedings.
