16 Week Appointment

I had my 16 week check-up yesterday. Everything went well. Baby Roman is doing well and according to Dr. Montalvo growing wonderfully. Baby's heartbeat was measured in the 150's so sounding good for where we are at. The only concern that the doctor has is that I have not been gaining any weight. I've actually been loosing it or staying where I am at. She is hoping that by our next appointment in four weeks I have gained some weight.

We will get the paperwork to schedule our anatomy scan at our next appointment at 20 weeks. We are looking at trying to get it scheduled on September 3rd at 21 weeks. Obviously I'm not in much of a hurry to find out this time around. At least having the ultrasound at 21 weeks there will be no guessing what we are having. I know a girl that had an ultrasound at 14 weeks and was told by her perientologist that she was having a girl...well at her anatomy scan at 16+ weeks she found out she was actually having a boy...then at an elective gender scan at 17+ weeks she was told again it was a girl...my advice to her...buy gender neutral bedding for the nursery. So I am not a fan of early scans when everything is still developing. So if you are counting the days...we'll find out if Joshua will be having a baby brother or sister in 35 days.
